Nick Blackwell was taken to hospital this week after suffering an injury during sparring. The former British middleweight champion suffered a bleed on the brain in March, in a loss to Chris Eubank Jr. at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London, and was forced to retire from the game.

Now that was a silly thing to do. You don't put your life on the line for sparring after what he went through. Hopefully this is a wakeup call to never do it again.

As foolish as it may have been, the guy was probably just thinking that it was just sparring, no big deal. It's been a big part of his life for probably most of his life, it's hard to just let go of the only thing you've known
