The fight wasn't close though. Ward did basically nothing but jab and nevertheless got outlanded by Kovalev. I don't know how anyone could give him more than 4 rounds, and half of those were pity rounds. Ward also ran most of the fight, clinched whenever he could, and of course got knocked down. That's because you weren't a boxing fan back then. You're one of those guys who picked up boxing relatively recently. You have a strong bias against American fighters, especially African American fighters, and it shows in all of your posts.
You come on here with a clear agenda. You hate Floyd and wanted to see him lose. You probably had no idea who Jose Luis Castillo was until you heard of Floyd Mayweather.
You also wanted Kovalev to win. Although the fight was close you easily could have had either guy winning. But you cry robbery when this fight certainly wasn't one.Comment

Ward outlanded Kovalev in 6 out of 12 rounds. If you're going to use compubox at least the the whole story. Most of Kovalevs advantage in punches landed were scored in the first 3 rounds. After that it became a back and forth fight with Ward winning the majority of the later rounds. The fight wasn't close though. And what is it with you guys thinking jabs don't count? Ward landed a lot of jabs to the body and controlled the pace of the fight in most of the rounds. Kovalev started strongly but faded and allowed Andre back into the fight.Comment

No, I've been watching boxing for a long time, longer than you.
I've been a fan since I was a child. I was fan of George Foreman and Mike Tyson, but I became more interested when the internet boxing websites enabled me to follow the sport more closely from up here in Canada.
I joined here in 2007 compared to your 2010. I posted on ESB before that, since the fall of 2005 but abandoned that site for boxingscene, partly because this site brings me the news.
You are not really a boxing fan, you're just a cheerleader for certain boxers such as Mayweather, and more recently, for Ward.Comment
