usyk- beterbiev was my toughest amateur opponent

Great fight between two incredibly talented fighters, was considered an upset at the time for usyk to win

    http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/excl...ights-or-less/ -

where usyk calls beterbiev his toughest ever opponent. Although usyk won, this if anything shows how good beterbiev is, as there is a considerable size difference between the two, with usyk rating him as a harder opponent than the far larger olympic super heavyweight silver medalist joe joyce.

Seen this fight a few times. Beterbiev hurt Usyk in the 2nd round and dropped him with a body shot in the 3rd.

He's gonna be very hard to beat at 175

Because they fought in an era when amateur boxing was scored by landed punches only, in any era knocksdowns have affected the score in amateur boxing.

Beterbiev is the hardest puncher in amateur boxing post 1992, i've seen him dropping guys more than any other boxer in amateur boxing.
Sadly he lacks the olympic gold, in 2008 he was arguably robbed by the home fighter and in 2012 he lost a close one against the eventual winner, Usyk.

Unbelievable that this huge kid Usyk actually fought and lost to Shawn Porter in the amateurs at 165.
