Sitting here watching the Kovalev vs Ward fight again on HBO and I'm even more convinced that Kovalev was robbed!!!! Oh my God!!! Kovalev would need to knock Ward out to get a draw from these crooked judges. Kovalev won the first 6 rounds going away with a knockdown , even if Ward won the last half of the fight which he didn't It was impossible for Ward to win. Corrupt decision

One need not be at ringside to see the difference. When judges are blind and corrupt, nothing can change them from being blind and corrupt...as simple as that. Kovalev won that fight!

In Larry Merchant's defense, he wasn't scoring the fight at ringside, which perhaps skewed his perception of the actual fight.

For nearly 40 years, Merchant has been typically seated at ringside, calling fights on television, while sitting in front of a monitor on the scorer's table.

Look the man is nearly 86 years old in February, so his vision may not be as good as it once was. In addition, he was watching the fight in the audience as a spectator, so that could have easily obstructed his sight too.
