Remember when Loma first turned pro, he said "I don't want to do it the way every other prospect does it - take two years, and twenty fights against easy opponents, and then pick off the easiest champion, etc., etc. I find that boring, and pointless. I want every fight, starting at the very beginning of my career, to be against world class opposition." (paraphrasing, but exactly what he meant).
And people talked shyte about him fighting Salido in his second fight, and getting the title shot so soon, and then getting the shot at Russell for another title in his next few fights... Yet they also talk shyte about people who pick cherries as often as they can for paychecks, coughDanny Garcia, cough...
Imagine the names on Loma's resume (win, or lose) he will have by the time he's reached his 20th fight? As opposed to most boxers after their 20th fight... Dude has a chance to be a top 25 ATG with 20-25 fights.
