    Prime SOG mauls Kovalev

Scary thinking that wasn't even prime Ward we saw out there and he still won, meanwhile Kovalev was at his absolute peak. Dude's been preparing to fight Ward for quite a while, Hopkins, Pascal x2, then Chilemba.

Ward? Didn't even prepare seriously, tuneups against Smith, Barrera, Brand, etc. after years of little to no activity. Ward haters couldn't stop talking about it. What does he do? He Krushes the King.

His very worst vs Kov's very best was still enough to pull off a W, he'll beat him even more convincingly in a rematch. Like Kov said about Pascal, there's nothing new he can learn or do in that amount of time that will change the outcome.

Umm. They are about the same age and same amount of fights. If Ward is not in his prime anymore then neither is kovalev. This is about as even a match up between 2 elite fighters.

They could fight at any point in there careers and it would be close. People just underrate Kovalev so much here it's shocking.

only that he lost convincingly and got outboxed by the older fighter than himself.. many words come to mind thinking about ward. scary is definitely not one of them.

Before the fight Ward Fanboys: "No excuses. This is a Prime Andre Ward who will use his super six experience to beat Kovalev. No excuses if he gets beaten or got a gift. And he already shaked off the ring rust in his tune ups. This is a Prime for Prime match up."

After the fight: "Well definitely we have seen Ward Slowed down, he's different from the super six. He's passed his prime."

How ******ed are you? Not only is Kovalev older than Ward, Ward also had a 2 year vacation away from the sport.

Pretty obvious he's not in his prime, he's been gun shy with his right hand since his comeback and has been hit with big shots against guys like Smith.

He hadn't been in a tough fight in years, wasn't used to getting punched, he entered this fight nervous. Big reason why he got dropped, then popped back up, smiled and went on to win the fight. That KD woke the old Dre up, he was a completely different fighter after that.

I agree the super six ward is levels above this version of Ward. But too bad we can only use this example to match kova vs Ward, so quit the prime ward, if ward did this or did that...thats lame.

The only thing we need is to have a rematch and pkease nono excuses...in this case the champ didnt get the benefit of the doubt I want to see the same rule for the rematch. We have to be fair
