fight bombed on PPV..i expected that, sadly both ward n kovalev are not household names, casuals don't know them. that's especially sad for ward with his stacked resume and gold medal, the U.S. does a piss poor job of promoting their own. .this was the mayweather/pacquiao of hardcore fans. but succeeding on PPV means convincing the casuals to buy in.

It didn't look like Kovalev faded to me. It looked like he thought he had the fight in the bag and stopped pressing, maybe thinking Ward would have to come after him to claw back the points and he could catch him coming in. But Ward just stayed in survival mode.
