I do not remember any clean punch landed by much more skilled and fast Russell. And do you think, slower Walters would have many possibilities to take advantage with his power?
Russel landed one good one in the first exchanges in the first round. Loma felt it, shook it off, -adjusted to the speed....untouched rest of fight.

Walters best hope is to land ONE

I like Walters and have been clamoring for this fight for awhile. But I honestly think Lomachenko is in another class. He's only been getting better and better and stronger and stronger. I think his movement and skill will make it hard for Walters to land the shots he wants. You never know though, it only takes one punch to change the tide. Either way I think it'll be a great scrap!

Will see. Any way, Sosa was easy target, but he was not impressed with Walters punches.

I hope this fights end up in a knock out. Haven't seen a good one between top tier fighters in a while.

It took only 3 fights because he fought a contender and a former champ in Salido in his first two fights. Otherwise he could have fought a bunch of the usual suspects to amass a 20-record.

Walters is taller and stronger, and punches harder . Loma got skills but doesn't have that power when he punches .
Walters will walk loma down all night long , will beat him .
I was impressed the way Walter beat donaire ... and took donaires power shots which Loma doesn't posees ...

Nice fight ... Walter all the way

Hit and not be hit , can not hit what you don't see
Either guy could win but Walters walks in a straight line and Lom uses angles and there is a big difference in their footwork so I don't see Walters walking him down. Walters will have to use timing. If he is a step behind, this fight will be like Floyd vs Corrales. If he is not a step behind, this fight could go either way.

Yep, that's it. You tell em Axe man. Real champions get their opponents out of there once the opportunity presents itself. That is the makings of a true soldier. You go out on your shield and risk the KO or be kO.

As a fighter, you are never supposed to carry a weaker and vulnerable opponent who is ready to go. Just ask Golovkin when he fought Brook, the great Sugar Ray Leonard or even the greatest finisher of all time Joe Louis.

Once these men had you on the hook they wouldn't let you off. The natural wider and stronger Kovalev blew it against Ward and that was one of the primary reasons why he lost the fight, because there was no sense of urgency in him whatsoever.

He didn't want to run the risk of getting countered or giving up any of his physical advantages. Therefore, he simply chose to fight erect in the center of the ring at long range, while chasing Andre around the ring.
