Comments Thread For: Saunders is Hungry To Face Golovkin Next, Says Frank Warren

WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders is hungry to get the "toughest fight possible" in 2017, according his promoter Frank Warren. This coming Saturday night, Saunders (23-0, 12 KOs) will make the first defense of his world title against Russian Artur Akavov (16-1, 7 KOs) at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff. The fight will be Saunders' first since winning the title from Andy Lee last December.

GayLoveKin has proven he's a puzzy, no one cares about him anymore...all the REAL fighters are fighting each other, which puts triple V out of the willing to fight anyone club. **** that loser.

Now that Frank Warren has his big tv deal, does he really send one of his premiere fighters off to their death? Nope. He's going to keep Bill nice and safe while teasing fans about a Golovkin fight so they tune in for Bill's easier fights. Warren even says they want Canelo in the UK. Canelo might become the mandatory, but the purse split might scare him away.

Yawn. Don't paid any mind until the fight is signed.

One way or another the Jacobs situation has to be resolved first, I'm fairly confident it happens in March or April. Hopefully Saunders is still interested by then, though if Canelo dangles a good payday in front of him I wouldn't really blame BJS for taking that route.

                  it actually sounds promising

what I mean is, members of Team Jacobs are under the impression that Team Golovkin actually do want that fight, so.....?

                  I hope it happens

We will see what Team Saunders have to say when they are actually in a position to fight.

I favor Golovkin, but it could be a good scrap.

                  over Jacobs I mean

Either Canelo or GGG needs to lift the belt off this loser... Has this guy even fought since the Lee fight? There's not a more irrelevant champion in boxing today.
