  • Manny Pacquiao A Boxer With The Great Story

Who would have thought that a kid who's in the poorest state in a third world country would rise up to be a very special individual in today's violent sport? May I remind you that it already sucks being in a third world country but to be in the poorest state in that section would be tough as hell.

A true Cinderella story coming from totally nothing to be one of the greatest in this sport and exceeding something more out of the boxing world. We all felt uneasy when he tried singing and making albums with his cringe worthy voice, laughed when he made movies and did his acting gig, heck he is even a basketball player owning his own team in the Philippine Basketball Association and to make it even more unreal he went to politics and not just as a low ranking politician but from a Congressman to a Senator. Comedic and surreal as it is Manny Pacquiao did just all of that.

Now some will make fun of what his life is now and make jokes about what he is doing but we can never deny that Manny is just once a kid who made all his dreams come true and went beyond it. Some even think it's ridiculous that someone without education is now a Senator and he isn't in the same level as his other political partners but do we really measure someone just by education?

Manny has given little Filipinos all over the world hope, he made them feel alive, he had given them pride, he gave the poor more than he could and he gave us boxing fans a great fight to watch.

Now if that's not a great story then I don't know what is.

He really is an incredible, incredible story. Coming from the slums of the Philippines and literally fighting his way out, with little amateur background, and becoming what -- the second highest grossing professional boxer in the history of the sport? 1.2 billion (billion with a b) dollars grossed from his PPVs. Headlined 23 PPVs...**** is crazy, man.

That punch was the most fun I've ever had watching boxing.
