Very sad. As a young boy. "The Destroyer" was my favorite fighter. Not sure why exactly but I followed his career in the newspaper. I recall just liking his style and power. Remember watching his fights with Holyfield, Foreman and Tyson. He may not have won the big fights but he went into the ring and made war. He made me a fan for it. RIP Destroyer.

A good man and fighter that died too young I recalled the Foreman fight and it was a controversial decision like several Foreman fights when he made his comeback I recall the one with Axel Schulz who clearly beat Foreman who had both eyes closed shut... I remember the decision, he was standing in the middle of the ring w/sunglasses on & poor Schultz got jobbed out of the decision.

Thats truly a shame. He was a part of the flood of good young heavyweights in the early 90's. I always liked watching him, RIP Destroyer.

I remember him coming up on MSG out of New York. Gave us some great fights including his battle with Evander Holyfield.
Alex "The Destroyer" Stewart was a fixture in the heavyweight division. May he rest in peace.

R.I.P. DESTROYER!!! He definitely could've been champ if those ones he lost to weren't in the picture.

                      Damn. RIP.

Stewart was always a fun guy to watch with his put you to sleep fists. I got to see him fight at the Rosemont Horizon before the Holyfield rematch back in the day.
