The Perez-Hooker decision was atrocious. Nothing transparent about it. Probably RN bribed two judges to ensure its investment keeps that lossless record to help prevent higher potential paydays from vanishing in one night.
The Kovalev-Ward scoring was questionable. Ward came back nicely in the second half to make it close but I also didn't see him winning 7 rounds overall. I would've been OK if it was called a draw because at the very least, Kovalev did NOT lose this contest in the ring. So Ward benefited from home cookin' at its finest. It's unfortunate because the fight itself was great. All Nevada had to do was to reward the deserving victor, not the guy with the bruised face who couldn't raise his hands in celebration immediately after the final bell. The largely pro-Ward crowd in the venue booed the decision because they knew the Russian got shafted.
That said, I think some fans categorize the judging as a robbery because, despite the closeness of the fight (unlike Perez-Hooker), there was a lot at stake: 3 belts and possible recognition of being the world's top boxer.
