"The fate of Briggs' title aspirations is now unclear." WHY?

Would this not be for a vacant title?
If one fighter cannot make it (what ever the reason) how about another opponent. Simple!

But then again this is boxing. If its simple its illegal!!

Exactly...just have him fight the next contender for the vacant strap or have him and wladimir duke it out...

What about facing Oquendo, and the loser retires. He could face Haye too, and the winner could face the winner of Joshua - Klitschko if this one happens.

Something stinks with Browne's drug failure, how can a dude on the WBC drug program get done again lol. He needs to look at his damn supplements!

Crazy idea but how about the WBA do that one champ per division thing they were supposed to be working on rather than keep having to find new, even worse fighters to throw in the mix everytime someone drops out?

It should be Ortiz-Briggs but more likely is Ustinov getting the spot. A shame because Ortiz needs an opponent and even though he had a similar paper belt he was only stripped of it because he wanted Ustinov to take the same testing that just caught Browne out.

It's still incredible help Briggs get the title shot and he'd be absolutely no one ranked in the top 25... supports my contention why this is the weakest division in boxing...
