No you misunderstood my comment. Adonis has to earn (in the ring) the shot meaning he's not going to be able to land his left on Ward like he did on Dawson. He's going to need to set the punch up. He's not going to be able to just throw it and expect Ward to be standing right in front of him to get hit flush with it.
I do feel he and Ward are going to fight I just don't think he should fight Adonis before rematching Kovalev. Read

That's Kovalev. That's not Ward. You must know there is more to a fight than reach, angles, power. etc.. A fight between elite combatants is a mental competition. Who can out smart, out wit the other. Based on the fights I have seen of Stevenson compared to Ward I think Ward out smarts him. Andre Ward's biggest strength in the ring is out thinking his opponents.
And like you I hope they fight soon so you can see that Stevenson's strengths will be negated by ward's ability to out think him and trick him and eventually have Stevenson following him around the ring like a lost puppy dog.
