This writer is so pathetic..he's basically the typical nsb poster from the demographic, as Fisch would put it.

A lot of good judges had it wider than 2 rounds towards Kov, 115-112. There were a lot of close rounds, but Kov won more of the not at all close rounds, so when you have to give all of the close rounds or say, 5-1 of the close rounds to Ward to get him the win, it seems like a pretty bad decision.
Granted there was a worse decision the fight before this one, sigh.

Judging is always subjective no matter the sport, there's always going to be that margin of error. I scored the fight for Ward 114-113 but if you scored it for Kovalev I couldn't argue with that. Same thing with Porter vs Thurman I had it a draw but if you scored for either fighter I understand. Just like the presidential elect you need to learn to live with the decision because there's no changing it. #ExecptAndMoveOn #ItIsWhatItIs

I don't understand the whole "robbery" thing. I had it 114-113 Kovalev with the knockdown the difference. I scored the first 6 rounds 5-1 to Kovalev (scoring round 5 for Ward) and the final 6 rounds 5-1 to Ward (scoring round 10 for Kovalev).
However, a lot of people scored round 3 for Ward which would change my scorecard to 114-113 Ward. To me the only anomaly is that all 3 judges scored it 114-113 Ward, as it was the kind of fight where the spectrum of scores could be so wide. Even if Kovalev had got the decision though, I'd still want to see an immediate rematch.

As for compubox they counted a lot of Ward's pitty pat shots inside, that don't mean ****. You score rounds based on clean, effective punches... isn't that how Floyd got the decision vs Maidana? But now suddenly you guys want to change it back and give more weight to dirty inside fighting, since the foreigner was the one landing the clean head shots this time.
Total hypocrisy. If they don't make the rematch by March I'm just going to forget about it and leave this corrupt sport to the only fans dumb enough to keep apologizing for it. Y'all deserve what the sport has become.

Or the "do or say anything to justify Ward winning including creating new criteria for fight judging" cone.
Of course when application is not convenient to agenda, he wont consider using this revolutionary "new criteria".
People should probably just let them have this. Imagine their reaction had Kovalev rightfully gotten his win.
We kept hearing about "slick american", "P4P#1", "once in a generation talent", and "special".
And on the orher side "brawler", "robot" and "stiff russian".
And yet, that stiff russian was having his way with Ward on the outside. Making him resort to near non-existant body shots and revolutionary new "criteria" in order to "win".Last edited by fvanesbeck; 11-22-2016, 11:12 AM.

Ward as an American deserved to win on American soil.
This is America and Ward deserved the win as a proud American over the commie bitter hateful Kovalev the Iron curtain warrior. Kovalev had the belts and should have defended his title in dreary dank drab Russia then. No excuses as the American won the fight. Have the rematch in Russia for little money and few fans?? DUH?
It's not like Americans like Russians anyway. God Bless America.

I rather look at the scoring like this, EVERY credible large sports news outlet who scores fights independently unanimously agreed that Kovalev was winning. The ONLY people who didn't were those judges. Even the Ward apologists deep down know he lost.

America shouted out FREEDOM in Ward's win over Kovalev
Ward deserved to win the fight so why are so many crying? Have the rematch in Russia then. Americans are tough to beat in America. There will be a rematch and both fighters will get richer so why cry about it? If Kovie doesn't come to America and the land of opportunity all Kovie does is eke out a miseraBLE EXISTENCE IN DRAB RUSSIA.

I had Kovalev by a point but I wouldn't call this one a robbery.
I can't say I'm surprised reading some of the posts on these threads. Many theories will keep coming up, I'm just waiting for the one that includes Trump.
Many posters on here profess to being unbiased yet you find no evidence to affirm such.
