P4p #1s don't get dropped or rely on gift decisions they take care of buisiness where their victory isn't questioned
No fighter can do that their entire career. Floyd did it for 47/49 fights, but JLC #1 can be contested and so can Maidana #1. Yes Floyd won both of those 2nd fights clearly, but the first fights can go either way.
Any #1 PFP fighter can be critiqued. You are creating unrealistic standards. Even when Pacman was PFP #1 (in Floyd's retirement) he was 0-4 against JMM (for any sane unbiased fan) so by your definition he was a **** PFP #1 too.
I don't even remember the PFP #1 guys before Floyd (he was #1 for like 5-7 years), but other top guys like Rigo, Loma, Sergio, Cotto, and yes even Kovy/Ward have less than perfect nights.
