Ward was brave, but Kovalev won
I felt robbed too. I watched the fight closely and objectively gave Kovalev the fight 8 to 4. When you pay to watch a fight like this you expect more... this was a good fight, but the wrong man's hand was raised... This my last ppv buy. I really hate Hunter and Ward's arrogance after this gift decision...Comment

If you were allowed to call a round a tie like the old days, it would have been something like 4 rounds kov plus knockout, 2 ward, 6 tied. You have to basically give Ward every close round to justify Ward winning.Comment

First watch I had it a draw. Second watch: 1-2 Kovalev won clearly, 3rd round Ward started doing better but still looked shook and I thought he lost that but it was close. 4-5 was when Ward settled in and those 2 rounds helped his momentum. After 8 rounds I had it 4-4 with Kovalev up because of the kd. I gave 9th-12th to Ward but they were close, if you gave some of them to Kovalev I wouldn't say you're wrong, but you can't tell me i'm wrong either
7-5 Ward + 1kd = 114-113 WardComment

watch their exchange after round 1, jdj was giving instructions then kovalev motioned him to shut up with his right glove and pointed to the russian guy behind the ropes as if to say "shh..let him talk"..and jdj just said ok and tapped him on the knee completely embarrassed..it was sadComment

Except for round 10. That was the round where Wards best move was an attempted bolo for which he received a stiff jab knocking him back across the ring. No judge scored that round for Kovalev, where he clearly outlands and bosses Ward yet they score every close round to Ward where one punch (in either guys favour oddly enough) was the only difference between the two.
I'm not sour, but it is suspectComment
