Before everyone loses their minds and gets their feelings hurt, acknowledge that this is rematch hype... And it obviously will work. Completely out of character for hunter, but I don't mind it.... He's wrong though. I don't think Ward stops him if Kov fights on the inside. LOL

"Before everyone loses their minds" is exactly what someone should have told Ward and Virgil before speaking. They sound delusional. FYI Ward doesn't fight inside, he grabs and fouls. If he wasn't an American gold medalist, the REF would disqualify him by round 6 fighting that way, and then who would be the one who got "stopped" from inside "fighting"?

These guys are liars, cheaters, and hypocrites, calling other fighters who fought Kovalev "cowards" (wtf?) even though they're the only ones who needed over a year of special planning to get in the ring with him, and pretending they won when they got dominated. I have no interest in anymore Andre Ward fights. He didn't show me anything. Outboxed all night, scared to exchange, the only rounds he could win were from fouling because he had a biased referee, and he still lost. Overrated fighter. Floyd is a master boxer from the outside... Ward showed his actual boxing is very overrated. All he can do is use his advantage that refs will let him fight an MMA fight while only allowing his opponents to fight by boxing rules. Ward's only advantages come from outside the ring, from politics, from corruption. Take away his fouling and instead of losing 8-4 like he did, he either gets knocked out or loses almost every round.

It's not my problem though. It's their sport. The Nevada Commission, the refs. It's their sport to guard. Not mine. I can't do nothing about it. So if they want to run the sport even further into the ground, that's on them.

Kovalev is going to be so angry by the time the rematch rolls around that he won't be able to think in the ring, thus making for an easier fight for Ward. I gotta give it to Virgil, this is a smart move IMO.

Smart move? Look at what happened with Pascal II after he got Kovalev extra angry. That was a brutal beating. Kovalev seems to thrive off of anger.

Why are they trying so hard though? This, bringing up Kovalev's father dying, all that other ****. It's like they think they need Kovalev to fight like a crazy person in order to win. Meanwhile Team Kovalev just chills like "we know we're better, we don't need to **** with Ward's head that much because we'll win anyway."

Call it what you want but it's interesting. It tends to show you which is the weaker side, that feels they need to get in the other side's head in order to have a chance. Very interesting after Ward supposedly "won" the fight. Shows you what they really believe about the outcome.

He schooled Kovalev all fight in every way except the inside holding and fouling, where Kovalev landed plenty of shots too, it's just the narrative that Ward is the great inside fighter so the commentators ignored all Kovalev's shots while giving Ward credit for every body shot, 90% of which were tiny little shots with no extension. But that's how it goes with the biased, corrupt boxing game. 90% of fans and boxing media all saw Kovalev win. They also all saw the judges rob Perez right before Kovalev-Ward, so it's easy to put 2 and 2 together and understand what happened.

The world saw Kovalev win. Meanwhile, judges from a pool that was alreayd proven corrupt when they robbed Perez for one Roc Nation fighter gave it to the other Roc Nation fighter. HMMMM I WONDER WHY IT WENT DOWN THAT WAY!

So Hunter and SOG trained with the mindset that Kov was gonna fight inside and they were going to lose? This guy should feel humble and lucky with that decision and stick to training, not be walking around like a pea**** and spouting off how great SOG trained and fought and how beatable Kov was. The scoring of the fight could have went either way. When there are fights in the UK a lot of posters on here tear up the British system, complaining about hometown decisions. The judging of this fight seems to be right in line with anything I have seen in a UK fight. There are several talented posters on this site, has anyone created a gif or meme with the shot of SOG's face when Buffer was announcing the results?

And why should Kovalev fight inside when it doesn't suit his skill set? Why did Andre stopping stop fighting mid-range? Oh maybe because it didn't work in the first 2 rounds? Is Andre a coward too, Virgil?
