am i missing something? cause there was a hell of a lot of clinching from ward, people saying kovalev headlocked etc, that was cause he had to stop ward from clinching, ward initiated the vast vast majority of them. I wouldnt say he showed 'heart' was incredibly defensive after the knockdown, and for pretty much the whole fight. He showed composure, not heart. Yeah he didnt foul, as no fighter should, not giving him a pat on the back for not headbutting his opponent lol

ward had his hands at the side of his head and was also coming in with his head off the center line and knees bent....unless kovalev met him in the same position, there was minimal chance of a butt...which there were none

so its ok for kovalev to initiate most of the clinches..bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

their game plan was to not let 'dre work inside...typical euro, grab and clinch to break rhythm....postol tries it, wlad mastered it, they need you at the end of their punches and ward adjusted found a way to work anyway, good body shots
