I meant fights in which you can seriously use it,like this one,i can make argument that Kova won,and protect it.In Floyd fights not realy.
Ortiz-Floyd is good topic doe,i think Ortiz had some idea for this fight and it was getting interesting before KO ,i have no idea how it would go.Cotto fight was good 8-4 Floyd ,7-5 being generous to Cotto.
Imo Ward is good fighter but he is no Floyd,he got shut at outside here,he cant box well outside and lacks right hand, imo rematch will be very good cuse Kovalev know that Ward cant hurt him.
Just asking, how you got Castillio -Floyd?
Well, when you quoted me I was talking about those things I previously mentioned so the subject of close fights is irrelevant since I didn't debate that.
But, Castillo/Floyd is an interesting one. I first scored it back in the day when I flat-out didn't like Floyd and thought I was going to see him get his ass kicked. Sadly for me, I had it a draw, leaning toward Floyd a little. I watched it again a couple years later after my eye for boxing developed further. Same result.
Not sure what I'd have it today but I'm probably due for another watch. I had Canelo just edging Lara so I do value power over slickness when it's warranted. But, I fully believe that people missed the everything after the 2nd round last night because they already believed that Kov was going to win. I believed it too but it didn't work out that way.

Yea,im not from this who say Robbery and is closed at any arguments.Imo just like i said Ward get every close round ,it was a toss up,in Kova home he would be still a champ and you couldnt argue,so i will stop argue now.I think that i was on Kovalev nuts cuse Ward had nothing for him outside, and he couldnt hurt Kova,Kova now know it,and his angry ooo boy.will be good one,it depends how you score this chaotic inside work from Ward.IMO Ward have no answer for Jab.I hate this type of inside fighting like Ward do,Ward is no master boxer ,his crafty ,mofo, and very tough to fight doe.For example Duran had amazzing inside work with no holding with 2 hands,he was not holding at all,his stance allowed him to punch with 2 hands,Morales or Chavez did it to,no holding just punching.
But his great fighter i give him that ,also im not suprised Ward and Floyd have lots of Haters and Morales not for example, lets face it they are boring its truth.
I got in 7-5 Castillio
its itteresting that Floyd was never robbed or lost close fight,he was lucky guy.
Whats your thoughts on Ortiz fight cuse imo it was good before KO.
Good thread, Yngwie. From what I remember, you were pretty unbiased going into this.
This is the Mayweather effect. People hate a dominant fighter who isn't a slugger, and they try to use wishful thinking to defeat him. I did it before too when I was a casual. Sorry kids, the power of imagination has it's limits. If you has Kovalev winning, that's not beyond reason. If you call it a robbery, you're exposing yourself.
Well, i like both of them equally, i sure enjoy watching Kovalev a little more, but in the gym i try to use some stuff from Ward.
People are hating too much, both were dirty, fight was close, that's it.
Anyone can post what they want, but if someone calls a close fight a robbery, that persons exposes himself and you know that he is a person that can't be in a real boxing talk.
With whole respect my friend i think close fights can be a robbery, got some sleep and i think it was not in this case ,all close rounds just went to Ward(challanger)is it fair idk,in Russia Kovalev would won ,just boxing things
but knowing you ,you are not unbiased here, you rooted for ward im almost 100%
On record i agree with you like almost allways ,fight in 2nd half was boring thats right.
im waiting for Canelo-GGG fire fight, but im afraid that in close fight GGG have no chance to get decision with my boy Canelo
Before the fight i wasn't sure of who i was picking, i wasn't rooting for any of them but i was picking Ward if he could survive the power of Kovalev, at the end, Kovalev used more boxing than i thought he would and Ward was more in to a real boxing match than i thought he would.
I think I'm an unbiased fan, i had Canelo edging Lara and man, i hate Canelo and i'm a big Lara fan, but i don't know how can people can that fight a robbery.
When we talk about GGG-Canelo, i think that if the fight goes the distance, Canelo will get the decision and also the fact that GGG has that high ko ratio would look like if he underperformed.
Whats your thoughts on Ortiz fight cuse imo it was good before KO.
I thought it was good because Victor had the fire in him and when you refuse to quit, you always have a chance. Then he got frustrated and quit, lol. To me, headbutting like THAT is a quit. It wasn't being reckless with the head like Holyfield or Ward. It was a blatant missle attack.
Victor was having limited success but success none the less. Had he kept his focus, who knows. But, he didn't have what it took upstairs so we'll never know. What Floyd did was cheap as fuq. But, Ortiz had already done the headbutt so anything after that didn't matter, IMO.

Yea,Kova showed that he is better boxer then many ppl thought.
On Canelo-GGG i think it will be great fight, doesnt matter who win,who lose and probably will be more then 1 fight.Canelo is not easy to KO so yea some ppl will see it as underperformance but i dont.I think it will be 1st big fight from long time which will have drama blood and brutal punishment and will live up to hype, like can it be otherwise?2 tanks with close reach and height both like to fight, good chins.Kova-Ward has a little drama but imo it wasnt on Cotto-Canello level in terms of action
Btw i made thread about **** Tiger in History section,im interested in your take on him my friend
