I can not understand how a real fan of boxing can celebrate that Ward did, it's just crazy to celebrate that garbage, and I love guys like Floyd or Rigondeaux, but this **** of Ward was horrible.

i went into the fight unbiased. im pretty sure ward won. kovalev was insane with accuracy and power for 2 rounds. after that knockdown ward kicked it into overdrive and struggled a bit but definitely won every round from 5 and on. you can make a case for ward losing the 3rd and 4th but everything after that was ward dictating the pace and landing cleaner punches. so if you give kovelev round 1-4 plus knockdown that still leeaves it ward 7 rounds to kovalev's 4+kd.

I hate that this was made into an American Hero vs a Russia. Everybody wanted this fight cause we appreciate the greatness of the two fighters. Never have I heard Andre Ward as an American Hero.

That said this was no robbery. Instead it was a good fight.

I had it 114-113 for Kovalev. 6 rounds a piece with Kovalev edging it out because of the knock down.

At the end of the night I felt I needed 12 more rounds to determine who the better fighter was.

Kovalev was so dominant early that I expected a KO. I think he was too relaxed and let Andre back into the fight.

I felt Andre was heroic in his come back but he never took the fight back from Kovalev. Sergey showed championship skill and heart.

I am disappointed in both men as they have not been honest in the post fight discourse.

Sergey did not kick Andre's @ss. And Sergey certainly was the biggest and most dangerous threat ever to Andre. And Andre was certainly hurt several times by Sergey. I'm not going to say he was the biggest puncher Andre ever faced because boxers usually surprise you when they reveal who hit them hardest.

I thought Max was really good that night.
