I know your comment is tongue and cheek but in some way you're not far off. I watched the fight and while Ward was getting hit Kellerman was giving kudos to Andre propping him up. Its like Kellerman was preemptively softening the blow before the inevitable decision. The fix was in and Ward, short of getting knocked out, was getting the nod. I could care who won, I think they're both great. Its just that Kovalev won pretty easily and if anything deserved at least a draw so that most of us with eyes would be able to tolerate that outcome. A sad day for officiating and the sport.

Boxing needs FAIR commentators, as well as fair referees and judges who are ABOVE being biased in favor of a fighter because he was born in the same country.

The three judges in Kovalev-Ward and Paulie Malignaggi are a disgrace to the sport of boxing with their dishonesty and nationalistic bias.

And the 2 judges who scored Hooker-Perez a win for Hooker and a draw are a disgrace to the sport.
You need to pump your breaks scoring this fight for Ward is no disgrace. Ward was more accurate and did control the second half of the fight. Paulie Malignaggi's break down on the fight was not that off.

Sergey had Ward for the kill and showed him too much respect. He needed to kill a dead man. He threw 10 more punches and landed 10 more that is not good.

You seem really anti ward and that's a shame because he showed a lot of heart and championship merit. If you don't agree with the decision fine but don't make this race a prejudice.

Doug Fischer (from The Ring website)

I think we need to be outraged when judges play favorites. I don’t think it should be a problem when American judges are assigned to a fight between an American and foreign fighter. It shouldn’t have to come down to nationalities.

Boxing officials should be professional and fair regardless of where they are from. We just need better, more honorable judges.
          Amen.

It's pretty sad what it's come down to. Boxing gets a chance to put on a great fight but screws up the cards of course. So many excuses and BS made for the challenger. Really pathetic. And it won't be the last of it. More will follow I'm sure.
paulie never accomplished anything in the ring???????????? the guy literally had no power and somehow became a champion and is respected by a lot of boxers, he will never be great but to say a professional boxer who became champ in this hard sport hasn't accomplished anything is pure crazy. the fight was close, even if kov won it wasn't by a lot, I can see arguments for both sides but this disrespect is pathetic. stop crying, paulie had a great break down and is a great commentator.

Today for this agenda Lederman, Dan Rafael opinion counts as factual accounts. Other times if it went the other way they will get criticized as Fat Dan or HBO's parrot

                    No, YOU are.

If Kovalev knocked Ward out, you'd still claim Ward won.
