    44 for Kovalev

    15 for Ward

    1 draw

So almost a quarter had Ward winning.

    The same as Pacquaio-Bradley 1 Weebler I ??

If you notice, basically every score is razor close.

    Aka, extremely close fight.

The decision could have done either way. One guy would feel robbed no matter that.

You can say that Ward was the challenger and didn't do enough to win.
You can say that Kovalevs knockdown matters most in the close fight.
You can say that Ward was more effective in most of the rounds.
You can say that Ward made better adjustments and deserved the win.

All of those are valid opinions. There's nothing to complain about. It was a good fight, and was not a robbery. I would have liked a draw score, but you can't complain about a 1 point loss.

The rematch will tell the whole story. As Duva said, the clause is in the contract, and it does not allow for an interim fight. We'll see a rematch within 6 months, and that will be the deciding factor in the rivalry.
