what the **** are you going on about OP?
How come Kova didn't close the ring? Followed Ward and played Chessmatch?

DQ for what? DQ all boxers in boxing? Has Golovkin ever clinched to save his own life? Ever heard commentators say, "he needs to hold or the ref is going to call the fight.." Or are you confused with headlocks by Kova?Comment

It's alright to hold if you're hurt, but not ok if you use it as your main weapon. Which is exactly what Ward does.
Go and read the rules of boxing, then get back to me. Ward is the dirtiest fighter I've ever seen.Comment

Ward makes ''clinching'' look amateur. in the old school days of a thousand bouts, Ward is a god in this style. People can cherry pick out that Kova didn'T headlock all night....
Unfortunately, LHW Ward is not Super Six Ward, so I don'T even know why people are comparing his old ways considering Kova had the toughest fight in his whole life!Comment

End of thread right here. When he had Ward against the ropes he didn't lay into him. It's because Krusher moves forward when he strikes. When he runs out of room, he often resets and goes back to the center (unless the opponent is hurt and vulnerable).
Golovkin is a very different striker. He attacks most effectively when the opponent is still and pinned.
Kovalev did the same thing he's done 100 times before. There have been times when he had his opponents on the ropes or in the corner and he backed off because that's not his style.
Comparing Golovkin and Kovalev is done by casuals who have no idea what they're talking about. To them, all hard hitting eastern euros are alike.
Stay casual.Comment
