I can't even put Ward at number 2 after getting dropped and out thrown and out landed by the p4p number 1. He got worked over badly and huggy beared himself straight into highway robbery.

Yes I do because I think these are the two best fighters. None of the fighters you named are P4P except Canelo & Crawford. Postol & Cotto aren't P4P that's why they were beaten soundly by P4P fighters. Frampton is on the edge of P4P status but I've never heard anyone suggest LSC was P4P. Neither Porter nor Thurman are P4P. All your examples are bad examples because you don't have two top fighters in their prime fighting each other.Comment

It's your pound for pound list to arrange however you want. I thought Kovalev clearly won a close fight. I had Kovalev 2nd PFP and I still have him 2nd PFP. I had Ward down at 9th PFP due to years of inactivity and weak opponents. I raised him up to 7th PFP for putting up a good fight. My number 1 PFP is still that famous bum beater GGG who has now KOed about 23 boxers in a row. GGG is fighting Jacobs next and Jacobs is a killer and one bad MFer. If GGG doesn't look outstanding against Jacobs I'll replace him with Kovalev as 1st place PFP. If he does to Jacobs what he has done to everyone else he stays my number 1 PFP.I don't care if you had Ward winning. Kovalev proved last night he can box his ass off. P4P isn't about how you look knocking out bums in impressive fashion. It's about how you look against top competition. After last night who do you see outboxing Kovalev? Ward didn't outbox him. He had to dig deep and will his way to a win.
I'm happy for Kovalev. Dude goes anywhere to fight anybody. Doesn't complain about money or the politics of the sport. Even last night he didn't whine. He just wants his rematch and settle it in the ring. He made a lot of new fans last night. My casual friends were texting me saying he got robbed. I hope the PPV numbers are good for Kovalev's sake. He deserves to be a household name.

Not this big Kovalev fan. He is still in a 4 way tie as my favorite boxer along with GGG, Spence and Canelo. What's not to like? Of course I'm not a new Kovalev fan. I have been a big Kovalev fan ever since he KOed Cleverly. Maybe your right about some new Kovalev fans. Time will tell.Comment

Manny-Vargas was fought on the same level if not way higher then Kovelev-Ward.
Manny's punches being way faster and more dangerous than Ward or Kovalev and Vargas right hand being way WAY more effective than Ward's Jab.
