Ima Ward fan but i do feel Kovalev shouldve won 115-112 or it having been a draw, didnt see Ward as the winner as he was too cautious with his right hand after the knockdown, but he did do impressive body work late fight while Kov was fading, but i do feel Kovalev troubled Ward with his jab and power and did enough to win atleast 6 rounds + knockdown but it was a close fight for sure, definetly impressed by Kovalev tonight, thought Ward would win convincingly

As I suspected, outside of the lopsided 2nd, the connects in all of the other rounds were pretty much even, with Ward having the better percentage in pretty much all the rounds. The judges seemed to favor Ward's more percise blows, in the face of a storm, over Kovalev's aggression.

Ward would only hit kovalev sometimes clean most of his shoots were in the clinch and all he did was hold. Lost a lot of respect for Ward tonight.

I'm pretty sure that's going to bother Ward. 👏

Those inside body shots U have to score, also kovalev wrapped up Ward to try to stop inside fighting, so it was Sergey who held him down as a tactic to negate inside fighting, hence the two low blows Sergey threw, Ward won

How does Kov lose round 10 with punches 21 to 16? Feels like you have to want to give Ward every close round and he still barely gets 114-113 win by that count. Close fight but decision was wrong.

Thatīs how I scored it. Not a huge robbery though. Kovalev started making silly mistakes mid fight like following Ward around and reaching with his attacks, making it easier for Ward to counter. Shouldīve just stayed patient and control the distance with his jab like in the early rounds. Ward is a spoiler but a very skilled one.
