I thought it was a good fight for both.Kovalev got to show his underatted skills and handled himself quite well inside,Ward showed his heart and stamina late.I had Kovalev by a couple of rounds but it was close. The knockdown made the difference for me.

He should be upset. He fought very, very well and had the better case for winning.

Ward didn't even look good in there. At least if he had looked good, you could (maybe) make a case for him getting a narrow decision.

        But that wasn't what happened.

I feel bad for dude. Unfortunately somebody has to lose. But at least we get a rematch.

Kovalev has every right to be upset. Close, but definitely a clear win for him.

He'll come back even stronger the second time around.

He's pressing for the rematch, that's all he can do at this point. Kovalev is still a true champ in my eyes.

The truth is Sergey is a B level fighter, he is naturally the bigger man and he has more power but for boxing you need more than that, ward out boxed him because he simply is the BETTER BOXER..kovalev can not pull the trigger, he has heavy hands yes but he doesn't know how to use them, in the whole fkn fight he landed one solid shot now his fans are crying about him winning the fight...no no no..ward won the fight because he was the smarter man..he moved better he went inside and landed more shots..kovalev had nothing..he was chasing ward around the ring looking like a very desperate contender.
