I thought the fight was close as well, this is why am NOT screaming robbery. I truly don't believe Ward won this fight, he didn't do enough in the fight or on the cards. He show his heart to get up from the KD and recover but even when he adjusted to Kov it was in the later rounds. I would have been ok with a draw or a Kov win to be frank.Comment

OK understand but you do know this is a Boxing Forum?
When discussing boxing at least for me I know I can discuss it without race even being a thought but yeah you're right some can't and they make EVERYTHING ABOUT RACE on this particular forumComment

can you explain how it's not a robbery
Just about everyone outside of this forum (and majority on here and in the sports media) had it 5-1 or 4-2 after the first 6 rounds.
For Ward to win, he needed to have won the next 6 rounds...all of them...and get a knock down. The latter never happened.
And to people like you claiming there were lots of close rounds...that only seems to count in the first 6 rounds but it's ok for the judges to give every round from 7-12 to Ward? There weren't close rounds there?
Even if Kovalev wins a single round in that string in the second half of the fight, he wins the whole fight.
Ward could not have won. A draw seemed like his best result.
It wasn't close.
It was a robbery.Comment
