Kovalev is P4P the best boxer in the game right now after that performance IMO.

He was outboxing Ward pretty easily, funny how he was doing it lazily, he showed more urgency vs Pascal since Pascal actually hit him with some shots.

He obviously didn't think much of Ward's bodyshots inside since he didn't come back to get his after them, but when Ward landed a jab(which is all he landed to the head through-out 95% of the fight) that was solid, Kovalev came back and made him pay by feeding him his own jab or by wacking him with clean rights.

Ward is a class act. Hope he doesn't get swayed and stays true to his word.

The rematch is contracted plus I am sure Ward knows he unable to demonstrate superiority and will try to prove the critics wrong by winning a rematch in clear non-debatable fashion.

Stfu Kov could've easily gotten the victory with a simple judge change or if the judges personal criterias was different and it showed in their scoring!

You either win or lose, there's nothing in between. It doesn't matter that you think "he was looking good" in the fight, the official scorecards IS the only thing that matters. He wasn't looking good enough to get the W and that's the end of discussion.

I say that again, I don't give a **** if Kovalev was outboxing Ward throughout the fight and dropped him 3432899382 times per round, it doesn't mean anything if the judges aren't convinced

Kov beating and dominating a legend in Hopkins like no one before him and taking out champs on their soil, first to stop Pascal, made Stevenson jump to another network, made Beterbiev wave the white flag and say he ain't ready and now giving an elite boxer in SOG all he could handle is elite quality!

So 60 y.o ancient Hopkins and super middleweight bodybuilder Pascal are his best scalps? OK I get it. Now you see his real level when he lost to an elite fighter

Rematch is coming and this time I'm picking Kov if applies even more pressure from the get go and gets extra dirty! He showed too much respect for Ward and needs to sharpen up his defense downstairs as the bodyshots took it's toll late!

Ward would get an easy win in a rematch, because Kovalev is like an open book for him already, he adjusted to his style after that fight. I doubt that Kovalev will get any meaningful fights again, his career might be finished and I'm against the idea of rematch because what's the point of it, if Ward already got that scalp in his resume? He needs some new ones, like Adonis Stevenson and Kovalev is irrelevant without belts, he's high risk/low reward. There's no point in rematch, just like there was no point in Kovalev/Pascal 2

A competitive fight isnt always a close fight ,Kovalev clearly won ,ppl need to rewatch the fight or stop lying to themselves . You also shouldn't win close rnds backing up if you are the challenger .
