And a lot of people think otherwise, despite your personal opinion to the contrary. Including many of the media who scored it for Kovalev, who called it a close fight and not a robbery. While the number of people who see it for Kovalev is a clear majority, the number of people who thought it was a robbery is not.

At the end of the day it was an unpopular decision, but not all unpopular decisions are robberies. I can see how someone could score 7 rounds for Kovalev, and I can see how someone could score 7 rounds for Ward.

Fortunately fights are not judged by popular vote, because then you'd get decisions like Donaire winning by wide decision over Magdaleno LOL. (Seriously that twitter based scorecard was embarassing.)

    • Ward won. Kovalev conceded the inside game by holding repeatedly which I think underscored the lack of preparedness he had for each and every facet of the fight. Ward made kov uncomfortable and changed the tide of the fight, he was the ring general.
