    that was shady

      It was a farce.

Kovalev won 5 of the first 6 rounds, that means he would have to win 0 rounds the rest of the way to lose...conveniently two of the judges saw exactly that.

I think Ward stole most of the second half, but Kovalev clearly won 2 of those rounds.

        On first viewing 115-112 Kovalev

        Rounds 1-6 & 10 for Kovalev

        7, 8, 9 & 11-12 for Ward

Round 9, 10, 12 were close but overall it was a clear win for Kovalev

I had Kovalev winning by a point. I thought when all three judges had 114-113 that they were going to agree with me. I guess not.

I picked Ward to win and even had some money on him with my friends who I was watching it with. We all scored it for Kovalev. So it was a bit strange 'winning' the bet vs them when they know that I personally thought I lost it. We were scoring after each round.

Can't hate on either fighter after that performance. Hope we get an immediate rematch, no point in taking other fights in between.

Funnily enough it was the last round too, when it was too late to make a difference to the outcome, but not too late to make the card look less suspect. It reminds me of Pac-Marquez 3 when Trowbridge gave the last round to Marquez because otherwise he'd be handing in a 117-111 win for Pacquiao.

Hey man, props to Ward... he showed heart

I don't think he should be the champion, but he showed heart

main events needs to get foreign judges for the rematch.this whole card had suspect judging perez got robbed of a shut out win over hooker.

Foreign judges or not, house always wins. Who was the favorite going into the fight? Casinos aren't in the business of giving away money.

                    An immediate rematch is due

there's no way ward won more than 5 rounds, and there was a KD

it was a gutsy performance but he got way too much credit just for hanging in there. kovalev was obviously the superior boxer
