I didn't expect JDJ to bite, but he did. To his credit, he took the better of two paths. He was wise enough not to get upset or rattled. But, the fact that he felt he even thought he needed to explain himself, and do it in a way that sought to earn Hunter's respect, tells me he walked into the web.

Will it change anything? Maybe, maybe not, but the fact that it's already a distraction, a little chip at the confidence, means that it was an effective psychological tactic.

A classy response. The guy's too long in the tooth to be getting shook about such things.

I watched that " trainer debate " on Seckback

it really was obvious that Hunter was playing games

I agree 100% with the bold..... it will likely have no effect, but the score is definitely 1-0 to Team Ward..... Jackson cannot afford to get rattled in the corner if Ward starts to get into his groove, I think he will have a real important part to play in this fight

Hunter if anyone seems shook, having to spread nonsense rumors to try and get an edge. JDJ had the perfect response. To me this reflects neither fighter. They both know this is the hardest fight of their careers and they are both capable of winning this fight. I am pumped!!

About a year ago Kovalev did talk about replacing Jackson. He wanted a more technical trainer

I feel the exact same. Used to think a lot of him back in the Super Six days but not so much anymore. Can't kick the feeling that he's a bit of a windbag.

                    I doubt it

Virgil's been wih him since he was a kid, took him in when he didn't have a place to go. He's the mans God son. It's deeper then the sport

Yeah sure Ward had the talent and maybe will and determination but Virgil cultivated it to where's he's at.

There may don't be a huge fracture between Jackson & Kov but it seems they aren't exactly on great terms and not that close of a team. More like a marriage of convenience and success not respect.

I wouldn't be suprised that when Kov catches a L he'll drop Jackson
