Margarito vs Cotto Plaster myth

Not at all. I'll give you a better example. Go watch their rematch.
Margarito had the same type of success and Cotto was fading and basically got lucky that the ref stopped the fight. At that point Margarito's eye was blown up.
But the rematch pretty much confirmed that Cotto can't handle that type of style.Comment

Pac fight showed it to,but in the rematch with Margarito Cotto handle shhots better cuse he was prepared physicly better he wasnt as chiny as in 1 .also he wasnt moveing so much,Unnecessary movement was killing him,no clinches etc.Not at all. I'll give you a better example. Go watch their rematch.

I totally disagree with you in the first fight Cotto was having success itis however a different story once that plaster started hardening around the 6,7, 8 & 9th rounds. Now let's talk boxing, I believe Margar-Cheato would not have been able to keep Cotto off of him, but when your facing someone with loaded gloves & happens to have one of the best uppercuts in the game that will do too much damage. If you've ever been in the ring before youwould know it's one thing to get hit by a hard puncher, but it's something else if the guy gloves are loaded. Happen to me once in the amatuers & let me tell you, you start to feel all there punches, the ones on your arms, back, hips & thighs but the ones to your face hurts like hell. When you fight normally the punches to the face & head don't hurt. Not at all. I'll give you a better example. Go watch their rematch.

Dude, why would you use them against a faded Mosely & not against one of the hardest undefeated hitters in your division like Cotto?Comment

you dont feel punches to the face ? wow you tough, someone loaded gloves in amateurs?wtf?I totally disagree with you in the first fight Cotto was having success itis however a different story once that plaster started hardening around the 6,7, 8 & 9th rounds. It was not proven that he used plaster in Mosley fight,it was ****m who tricked comission, there was no plaster,at all.I saw much more blood in fights with no plaster then in Cotto-Margarito 1.Comment

The Pac fight showed it too??? Dude, Cotto was having success, what did him in was when he try to load up with a wide hook but Pacquia beat him to it with his right-hook right on the jaw. That is totally different from the Margarito fight. Now the Cotto/Margarito II bout you can see that Cotto was able to handle his puches better...And gee, I wonder why??? You don't prepare better physically to absorb punches...it just doesn't make sense. Calling Cotto Chiny while getting hit by loaded gloves is not kool bro...& Cotto was moving around more for the 2nd fight than the first one.Last edited by sugar ray lenrd; 11-17-2016, 02:58 PM.Comment

So Cotto wasnt chiny in 140/147 ? he looked much better in rematch, bigger and stronger, and yes if you are prepared better you can handle punishment better, especialy bodyshots. The Pac fight showed it too??? He had success with Pac and he had it with Margo ,and when he made that mistake?he loaded up while being backed up and couldnt handle preseur, imo if not this mistake he could win with Pac.Comment

what I quoted is exactly what happened. It's what the people responsible for the hearing heard.
If you know otherwise, you can tell me. If not then you're just hating for the sake of hating.Comment
