It makes it so hard to debate with many Americans on here, as race is so commonly thrown into the ring, either implicitly or explicitly.

Race issues exist if you want them to. I found it revealing in your original post how you questioned what a President could do for its black population, instead of what it could do for everyone. This typical American mentality shows how the country is so far behind other developed nations in its social outlook. I'd go so far as to argue its one of the reasons why the US is a declining economic/political superpower (as my country was in the 50s/60s).

What are you talking about? Why would I need to protest anything? Its not my country who had to choose between Trump and Clinton. We don't have anywhere near the problems you guys have about race. We got over that decades ago.
