Kovalev got lucky the first time, but this is a whole new era and a whole new fighter. Cleverly has been upgraded from a pawn to a rook. Cleverly 2.0 retired Braehmer. Cleverly 2.0 is smashing cruiserweights and heavyweights in sparring. Bellew is running. Adonis Stevenson and David Haye are shook. Does anyone have the cojones to face this hungry young lion in his prime?

A rematch for what, so he can get destroyed in two rounds instead of four.

That would be a 116-112 "victory" for Ward so lets hope Krusher doesn't keep it close at all.

When Cleverly was being trained by Joe Calzaghe's dad, Enzo, he had a completely different style to the one he has now.

He was more of a boxer back then, and used his reach, jab, and movement a lot more than he does now. That was how I expected him to fight against Kovalev, but he tried to go head to head instead. BIG mistake.

I'm sure that Hearn would be able to promote a huge Kovalev-Cleverly II fight in May-June, with the Millennium Stadium ( Principality Stadium) as venue...

(... but do you think that Cleverly would still want to take such a fight after Kovalev would dispatch Ward?)
Not from Cardiff itself, but close enough. I guess everywhere in Wales is close enough to Cardiff doe - it's a tiny country. Quebec is probably around 10 times bigger than Wales, in terms of land area.

Cleverly is a gutsy kid, and he would fight Kovalev again, I'm sure. But even Eddie Hearn would have a hard time selling it to the Welsh fans.

They really believed that Nathan was the second coming of Joe Calzaghe. And the way Kovalev krushed him, without even getting out of first gear, was like a bucket of cold water over the heads of Cleverly's UK fan base.

People don't forget a nasty shock like that in a hurry!

Nathan will be hoping it's Terry O'Connor as the ref again. Still can't believe what he got up to in the Clev vs Krusher fight. Even by Terry's cheating standards, that was shocking.

I think this guy is crazy, why would he want a rematch? He was destroyed in 4 rounds and would get beaten worse the second time around.
