dana white actually comparing ko's in mma to boxing!

They should have a muhammad ali act type of **** in mma imo. Dana white loves his "favorites" getting all the title fights, main events etc.

Kovalev-Ward is in a few days and there seems to be about as much, or more, interest right now in talking about Mayweather-McGregor, a retired boxer and an MMA fighter.

Kinda lets you know where boxing is at the moment.

So I can understand why mayweather reacted the way he did
Absolutely correct. There have been fighters in the past that would have been fantastic candidates to be multi-weight world champions - however none of them were afforded the opportunities Conor has been handed.

Heck, the entire featherweight division is collecting dust and being told to sit the **** down, while Conor goes trawling on his overblown publicity tour. It's pretty sad just how much Dana White loves his **** smeared all over Conor's ****, and what he'll do to get it.

Nonetheless, we're all enabling this ridiculous PR stunt - both Mayweather and Conor know exactly what they're doing, and people are eating it up - even though they know better. These two aren't fighting, it ain't gonna happen, and hopefully it'll die down soon so we can all get on with business.

With so much hype and excitement for fights like Mcgregor vs Diaz where Diaz was far from elite, it still didn't matter and only boosted the sport exponentially no matter who won. The big flaw between boxing and UFC right now is how disorganized boxing is. UFC overall, whether true or not, seems to represent fierce king of the hill competition. The best of the best in MMA still have extreme lows and highs in their careers. Boxing though is disorganized with converging management styles and promotions/networks. Haymon, has exposed and hurt the sport. While, yes, he has maximized profits for guys like Danny Garcia and Guerrero who would never have seen that kind of success...the vast disparage between the haves of Haymon and have nots representing the majority of boxers is running the sport in the ground. Haymon basically is living in an eco-chamber where there is (x) amount of profits into the hundreds of millions in the boxing economy. From there he is not expanding the sports economy, lining his single digit favorites pockets, artificially holding his favorites at the elite level, and gradually the pie into smaller pieces. Leaving the sport in a worst place then where he started. I mean ****ing hell, the idea Danny Garcia the lineal undefeated light-welterweight would fight an unranked lightweight Rod Salka is criminal. UFC is definitely too "in house" and needs to breakdown the walls for it too become a staple. But boxing needs to do some serious surgery on itself. The excess sanctioning bodies, rankings, promoters, people sucking the blood out the sport....it needs to be taken down. The boxing establishment is failing the sport
You cannot criticize disproportion in pay in regards to boxing in the same breath as praising the UFC. Also, if the UFC was simply the best fighting the best, McGregor would have defended his featherweight title and he would not have gotten a lightweight title fight before Khabib.

Of course Dana is coming to the defense of McGregor he needs to look as much as he can that he is on the cash cow of the UFCs side.
Because now it is time for the UFC to negotiate and pay up or shut up. After the last fight it sounds like Conor knows what his worth is and he wants to get paid what he is worth which is probably way more than Dana wants to pay him. Dana can say whatever he wants but money talks. If he really feels McGregor is a Mayweather type talent then he should be paying him Floyd numbers.

I've only heard like two ppl say he's the "Floyd Mayweather of MMA" and one of them was this ****** reporter who asked Floyd the question. I'm big on MMA and nobody calls Conor that. All they have in common is that they talk **** about money. That's really it. Two totally different styles of fighters. And Conor's fights have become so much more entertaining than Floyds ever was. Tmz ran to Conor with this bs and he was very dismissive. Told them "tell him to say it to my face". That's what any man would say when confronted by a gossiper trying to start ****. Floyds dumb ass on the other hand took the bait and gave them a lengthy quote. Floyd man, nobody cares about him anymore. Ppl stopped caring half way through that horrible Manny Pacquiao fight.

Make the fight or **** OFF! But that is kinda the different Mayweather is talking about. Mayweather is literally his own Boss, he doesn't have to get permission from anybody to make the fight while McGregor can only do what White Allows him to do so from that aspect yes it is like comparing "Elephants To Ants"

McGregor has a lot of Casuals fooled right now thinking that he has a chance even with boxing rules I think they would be foolish NOT to make this fight but the draw back will be because McGregor can't make moves without Dana White and UFC and they will try to get in on this event and get a piece of the pie and I don't think Mayweather is having ANY OF THAT!

Mgregor is 28 and hes averaging over 1mil PPV buy every single fight. If he keeps on winning and knocking people out by the age of 30 he will be an even bigger star. It took floyd until the oscar fight where he was like 32 or something like that to really do big numbers. Even boxing fans have to realize conor is a superstar and he only made his ufc debut 2-3 years ago.
