There are so many things competing for our attention and dollars people don't have to search to hard to find it. You have to find a way to deliver easy to find content with a click of a button. Boxing is so hard to find. You got PBC on a thousand channels with varying times and dates. People are moving away from set top cable boxes. People don't want to have to put on a lot of effort to find entertainment.
It really is not as easy as you think. If they make fights available on mobile devices then people will complain the stream is too slow and is lagging. You would have to make sure the stream is available to everyone and it works on different OS on different devices. Too much work.

The problem with a stream is that you need a fast internet connection and even if you have a very fast internet connection, the stream might lag.

The issue with boxing is they have way too many promoters, way too many boxers getting way too much money, and way too many PPVs with expensive prices.

Who is going to build this mobile streaming service? The promoters can not afford it and big networks are cutting down their budgets.

Those that were poor had HBO and PPV with the black box.

        Everyone saw the fights. Everyone.

Not long after cable went digital, boxing started to fade from the America public's consciousness. Not a coincidence.
When I had a descrambler I used to have people over for everything.

Anybody here hear about these Android TV boxes? My coworker has been selling these things to all my other coworkers, and they all love the ****. They claim that you can literally get every stream of f**king anything...even some movies that are in theaters. And all sports ****, too. NFL Sunday Ticket, NBA League Pass, any PPVs, etc.

**** sounds too good to be true but all my coworkers who have bought one say it's legit.

Dude is asking for a hundred bucks a box

If you could just type in PPV Vargas-Pacquiao numbers then you would be educated.

Boxing isn't really the type of sport that the general fan simply streams by themselves. Big fight cards, generally speaking, are more social events than anything.

Pacquiao, though a name, didn't warrant the type of "social event" status of his prior fights (but there was still apparently curiosity).

The PBC model, as far as I'm concerned, is the way of the future; boxing returning to the general sports world (with channel apps giving folks on-the-go options) and the actual PPV events being fewer and far between.

Showtime/CBS has their app (as does HBO), and that gives you the option to carry fights on your phone/tablet (GooglePay, ApplePay, AndroidPay, and the various bank card apps gives you the option to pay the money directly from a credit/ATM card).
