We need Arlen Lopez to defect from Cuba and turn pro. He is the complete fighter. He'd probably be ready for a title shot within two years of making the switch

In the nearer future, I'd say that the junior middles are your best bet. Andrade, Charlo, Lubin, Hurd and of course Canelo

Jason Quigley is fighting Glen Tapia for the NABF title (I think) at the end of March. On that Golden Boy ESPN card. Not exactly a step-up fight but Tapia will ask some question of Quigley who is still very green.

Jacobs really is the only guy around to threaten Golovkin right now, as he's the only man who has separated himself from the crowd of contenders.

If Golovkin does beat him, and in particular if he beats him easily, then it really will just be 'Golovkin & the rest' at middleweight.

Derevyanchenko looks like a solid contender. Probably not good enough to beat a prime Golovkin, but I'd give him a fair shot against Saunders and Jacobs. He needs to step it up this year. I'd like to see him attempt to avenge his gymmate, Khytrov, against Aleem

Jersey Boy still fighting? he's looked terrible every time he stepped up a level in opposition. I hope Quigley doesn't kill the dude.

NO, you have GGG and then these other b****es who refuse to fight him. Talmbout "I cant fight at 160, but I can do 164.5 doe", losing pens and the other having the WBO belt hostage and waiting for Canelo to give him his biggest paycheck so he can retire.

He could make Quigley look great, but then again you never know with these amateur stars. A lot of them prove to be paper tigers when they get into tough fights in the pros, so maybe Quigley will have to show something. Maybe.
