What about Wilder fulfilling his mandatory? Povetkin and Stiverne are fighting mid December for the number 1 mandatory position so there's more than enough time to make a fight with the winner.
This is like deju vu all over again. Deontay Wilder just keeps on fighting optional defenses.

Povetkin is gonna be 40 by the time they fight so if it happens at all it will be some inconsequential ordeal. Over the sanctioning body falsely identifying a legal drug test result as illegal and sending everyone home, then backpeddling.
Lame. Boxing always ends up like this. Disorganized backroom politics stall everything until nobody cares about a fight anymore.
UFC! UFC!

Hughie has looked lethargic in his last handful of fights, so I can't see him winning if he still has problems there. But if he's able to get his illness under wraps and get back to what he used to look like, then it's a very interesting fight.
But as of now, Wilder would be my pick.
