Kell Brook got an eye socket fracture, he's likely not going to be sparring anytime soon, but there's no reason for him to take off anywhere near that amount of time.
Fight happened in September, the eye will likely be good to go by Thanksgiving, he takes off the holidays for good mesure, and he's likely in camp and ready to fight by the end of January/early February.
He got caught with one massive shot early, dealt with it, and was able to handle his business until his coach felt the need to protect him; quit trying to spin it into being something bigger than it actually is.Comment

Because 8 months lets him, and folks like him, tell the story of how Golovkin hit a legit fighter, so hard with one shot, that they were out of commission for nearly a year (the bigger the story becomes, the likely longer the layoff becomes).
Kell Brook (Golovkin's best professional opponent so far) fighting Golovkin in September, and then fighting again by February undoes a lot of the mystique for how "destructive" Golovkin is allegedly supposed to be.Comment
