What the Vargas fight shows is that "it wasn't the shoulder," it was the Marquez KO. Roach knows, that's why he steered Manny away from Terence Crawford! Arum knows, that why he's trying to hype up Pac vs. Loma @ 140. I, for once, agree with Arum. If Loma beats Walters, I think he should fight Pacquiao @ 140!
It took a roided out Marquez to land a lucky punch to finally beat Pacquaio. When you knockout a fighter that is superior you have the right to brag a bit. If I was Marquez I would be humbled by it because Pacquaio was about to finish this guys career the night he landed that hail Mary punch.
So was the other two KO loses by roided fighters or do pac got a suspect chin?
Probably both, because I don't recall Marquez popping hot on any drug test. Unless I missed that article somewhere.
Naa man, its really because of Marquez looking like Incredible Hulk at the age of 39, which he never bulked up so much in any point of his career, and coincidentally it was right after he hired a known doper in Memo Heredia after chanting through the build up of the fight that he needs more "Power" in order to knock Pacquiao down or out.
I don't believe in all that lucky punch BS. End of the day, if you get caught with a punch, that's YOUR FAULT! End of story.
I for one have no problem with the fight series ending with the 4th fight. In many ways, it's the best way to end it. Think about it. The first 3 could have gone either way. All 3 were controversial, with JMM always getting the short end. He's fed up with it. What does he have to do to get a win?
And then, BOOM! Pacquiao KOed, cold. No controversy there. Fight's over. Pacquiao might have won the series 2 wins to 1 loss and 1 even, but Marquez won the war. Manny could never put Marquez away or beat him convincingly, but Marquez put Manny away. Marquez proved himself and he ended the fight the way he wanted to end it and he closed it out with no controversy.
In my eyes, he never needed to give a rematch after the 4th fight.
The record books only say one thing: Pac beat JMM 3 to 1. That will never change. No controversy unless you just can't stand Pac winning.
