I know a lot of people are hyped for this fight but to me it's meh, why? Because I can't see Jacobs coming past 7/8 rounds. I don't think anyone touches GGG at 160, unless Canelo goes to 160 and maybe in another 2 years for Eubank jr.

I don't see Canelo having a shot versus GGG, Eubanks has an awful defence that guy would look like the elephant man if he fought GGG I actually think that guy can take a punch and he'd be durable enough to go the distance with the Kazakh as he'd have enough power to make GGG wary of the power coming back but the longer the fight lasts the more and more he fails connect with the superior defence of GGG and he's taking punishment all the while. It'd either be a referee or corner intervention, or an extremely ugly looking Eubanks after a wide points loss wherein he's taking more punishment than any man has had to bear since the like of Lebedev versus the PED cheat Jones.

I just want to see this fight, Jacobs is No.2 at middleweight and will finally erase any doubt about Golovkin's choice of opposition. But if Jacobs wins then HE'S the man, Boxing fans are getting played for fools these days how long does it take to work out how much each fighter is going to get f***ing paid?!

It really is a ****ing joke and it ruins everything about the sport. Every time we have a possible good fight, it has to be delayed or cancelled due to money problems. There are no rules and thats why it happens this way, nobody gives a damn about the fans. What is holding this fight up? This is why boxing is laughed at in this country

I could understand the interest if this was Canelo or Saunders versus Jacobs, a close pick em fight but GGG against any of the above hold very little interest to genuine boxing fans who want competitive action and not one sided beat downs.

If he remains at 160 as he has been tearing through the division then I fail to see how he retains an interest in his performances against no hopers, I mean the only people buying into his myth and tuning in to watch him aren't genuine boxing fans as far as I am concerned. He's trashed the division, literally walked through everyone, where is the intrigue in him remaining at a weight he clearly is too good for ?

Floyd I'm not sure where I stand with him, I lost a lot of interest in him in his final 4-5 years as you knew he'd beat everyone he fought too, but I guess a lot tuned in to hope he'd lose or a just simply an insecure bunch who liked to believe he was facing the best in his latter years of his career.

Floyd for me did all the hard work earlier and he deserves kudos for becoming his own man and carving out the fortune he made, I respect him more as a business man than for his fights towards the end of his career.

I admired him and I thought his style was great, he really mastered the art of hit and don't be hit but at the same time I was really felt he was not facing the toughest tests available to him even when he fought Pac I felt their were more dangerous opposition out there in the faces of Martinez, Lara, Bradley and renewed looking Cotto at a higher weight that said most of the tests were at a weight above and one he would be at a considerable disadvantage so I understand his reluctant to really test himself as GGG is reluctant to really test himself.

Feeling like a waste of time. How long does it take to negotiate a fight? You figure out how big the pie is, then figure how much your willing to split. Should've been done in a week, now the WBA won't even call a freaking purse bid.

i hear you...i mean if he cant land a big fight at middleweight rather its because people are actually running scared of him or his team is really that hard to do business with than he should go on ahead and start facing the challenges that lay north of middleweight...however,i disagree with you that fights with canelo and jacobs are foregone conclusions..

as i said i would favor golovkin against either guy but i feel both of the potential opponents i mentioned in this post have more than enough firepower and skill to make it interesting and definitely worth watching...

floyd is one of my favorite fighters in the history of the sport and although i dont single handedly blame him for fights with tzsyu,casamayor,freitas or margarito not happening,it doesnt mean i didnt want to see them even though im of the opinion he beats all those guys fairly clearly with the toughest of the four being tzsyu...
