Do you understand that there is far more to the terms "left-wing" and "right-wing" than economic policy? Do you even understand the origin of the phrases?

The US is a very ideologically left-leaning country with a hybrid economy. It's not difficult to understand. Saying we have many leftists does not imply that we practice pure socialist economics. Why does this seem to give some people so much difficulty?

In the entire world there are a small handful of countries like Sweden and France that are further left than the US in law and ideology. "Left-wing?? You don't even have mandatory prison sentences for hate speech like 3 countries on the entire planet!". Yeah ok you sheltered freak. It doesn't matter really. If he does the most wonderful job in history he will be widely hated because of the changing demographics and racial hostility in the US.

In his place I would start laying the foundation for balkanization.
