I support Lara 100%
but, I am pretty vocal when it comes to bullshht-artists like Golovkin, so I will hold Lara to similar standards.....
based on Lara's comments above..... if there really is nobody on his level at 154, and if he does want to make an impact in 2017, and if he really does want to fight Golovkin like he says - and I believe him - then he does have options.....
the posters who say that "Lara should move to 160 and earn a mandatory" are just being wankers LMAO, but.....
Lara could be right..... Andrade/the Charlo's/Jrock/etc, have not really established a firm top 5 at JMW - and there are also guys like Cotto, Vanes, and maybe Smith in there who could be capable of upsetting the apple-cart..... so I'm not sure if there is a truly meaningful fight for Lara at 154 just yet.....
Team Bullshht don't want anything to do with the Cuban, that much is plainly obvious..... but if Lara is truly serious then he could possibly force that fight with Golovkin.....
1) if he could beat Tureano Johnson, the IBF will at least force that fight if they stay true to recent form..... and if Johnson doesn't want it, beating Murata will achieve the same thing.....
2) he could jump in the middle of the Golovkin/Jacobs mess - because Team Bull**** don't care about that fight - and try to land a fight with Danny Jacobs..... because Golovkin will still owe the WBA a mandatory..... also, Lara is the current WBA 154 champ
3) Heiland could be an option IF they can confirm (under the table) that the WBC would enforce the mandatory before they enter any kind of serious negotiation..... and that would depend on his connections
Lara is exactly like every other fighter EVER - including Gennady "dey ducking me doe" Golovkin..... he will make the usual risk/reward decisions, taking the fights that he wants, and passing on the rest..... and therefore will be held 100% responsible/accountable for his resume.
Lara will fight anyone..... I hope he lands some good fights in 2017, either at 154 or 160.

I support Lara 100%, especially over a manufactured fighter like Golovkin..... but Lara does have options, right?
It is clearly obvious that Team Golovkin will never fight him.
Maybe he should stop talking about Golovkin..... because while I do agree with him, it is getting a little old..... and flogging a dead horse will not help his bank account or resume'.
Lara should go for Johnson or Jacobs, that would potentially put him 1 fight away from Golovkin..... and we all know how Golovkin loves fulfilling his mando's.
