I would prefer Kovalev/Stevenson first, but seeing that fight aint gonna happen I hope Ward goes straight for Stevenson next.

Not sure if a Kovalev loss to Ward will increase the chances of Stevenson/Kovalev happening? Maybe, not sure??

Indeed, regardless of November's 19th outcome, I'd still be "intrigued" by Kovalev vs Stevenson.

But little g fans were talking all kinds of sh.t about Ward don't want it.

As soon as Ward cleared up those issues and was able to fight he called ggg out immediately and little g fans changed their tune saying that Ward was picking on the smaller guy. They also said he should move up and fight Kov if he was sooooo tough, awhile also stating he'd never have the guts to do it because he knows he'd get KO'd by Kov.

Now they see Ward is more ready than ever to take this guys belts and isn't gonna fake an injury and now all u hear is how beating Kov is no big feat . Please don't let Ward make u tuck your nuts in anymore .

A sorry bunch of Castrated insurance customers .
        Andre Ward over here fellas.

        Am I right fellas?

            Yep. Indeed it has.

              but it is highly unlikely

Ward is extremely well-schooled, and likely the most well-rounded fighter in the game today..... he is very savvy, I think his jab/feints alone will cause Kovalev big problems.

Kovalev is not known in that same light.

This will come down to how Kovalev/Jackson react to Ward's adjustments..... but they better have done their homework
He's not known in the same light because too many fans wrongfully assume that a guy known as a KO artist / puncher / head hunter isn't also a skillful boxer, or can't be also a defensive wizard, and so on and so forth.

Kovalev is a cerebral fighter and he is cunning and accurate, and knows how to stay in range and produce opportunities that he can exploit.

Both fighters will be adjusting to each other it's about as close to a 50/50 fight as we can get between elite fighters right now, and whoever wins shall be p4p #1, and whoever loses should not lose stock in the eyes of the boxing world because of who they just lost to.

Chilemba and even 50 y.o Hopkins >>> Smith and Brand, you can't even compare them

I wouldn't respond to that message, but I don't like when people act like Chilemba is some kind of bum (or when people act like Barrera was a bum, if we talk about Ward's recent opposition). Even considering that Chilemba is far from Ward's level, it was the best available opponent for Kovalev to prepare him for Ward at that period of time

Is there an immediate rematch clause in kovs contract? I'd assume he'd want to run it back should he lose. I don't assume ward is in a position to ask for the same should he lose

Kov is definitely more than a brawler. Ward's camp seems to be aware of this though, even if the majority of his fans posting here aren't. Still consider the fight 50/50 but Ward's confidence is starting to sway me...
