youre not prepared, fighting paul smith, and alexander brand does not prepare you for kovalev. Once that first shot lands in the first round you are going to be wishing you were in the ring with a bum instead. Your luck has run out andre.

that is exactly what I said months back

this fight will come down to adjustments

this all depends on how Kovalev/Jackson react when Ward adjusts to Kovalev

they better have done their homework, and they better have a tricky southpaw in camp

Chilemba and 50yo Hopkins did not prepare Kovalev for Ward

you never thought of it like that, did ya?

He makes a good point. The body may age a little bit but his mind will be sharper than ever and, as a cerebral fighter, Ward can certainly capitalize on the wisdom age brings. I've seen it happen in him. More complex gameplans, quicker adaption, more conservative approaches, less damage taken. We saw it in Floyd. Kovalev will bring out the truth though.

If Kovalev doesn't mix up his game a bit and comes in and fights the way Ward expects then it's probably gonna be a Easy decision win for Ward. Kovalev needs to show a new wrinkle to make Ward have to adjust his game plan. I just hope it doesn't end up like Crawford-Postal, a one sided kind of boring fight. I don't expect Kovalev to just get stuck trying only one thing all night like Postal did trying to land the home run right hand.

I can't wait for this fight, I haven't counted down the days for a fight since last May. Let's hope it doesnt end up like that one either lol.
