this idea that lara only mentions ggg when one has a fight set up is naive and honestly ridiculous. whenever he has a chance or is asked he wants the fight with ggg hes one fighter that i think honestly wants the fight. say what u will about the fight but there is no question lara would sign to fight him where others wouldnt

All this guy has to do is talk to his adviser Haymon and tell him to make the fight for him. Much like when Khan got the Canelo fight. Khan didn't just tweet, he reached out to Haymon and Oscar. This Lara guy does nothing but tweet and talk.WBA/IBO junior welterweight champion Erislandy Lara (23-2-2, 13KOs) is wondering what he needs to do to get WBC/WBA/IBF/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs) in the ring.

if Lara fought Golovkin at 160, and then win-or-lose moved back down to 154..... then obviously he is "just a 154 lber"
he is still a better opponent than Wade, and a way better opponent than BrookComment

Ha!I am 100% positive that Team Golovkin are scared of that fight.
They have used every (ridiculous) excuse in the book to avoid that fight, just like they did with Andre Ward..... the only reason why someone would feel the need to use every-excuse-in-the-book is because they do not have a genuine reason.
If they had a genuine reason, they would say it.
Hard to keep up now, but I think that the latest documented excuse used to justify avoiding that fight arose immediately prior to the Monroe fight..... "Willie Monroe is a bigger draw than Lara".
If they had a genuine reason to avoid that fight, they would not have attempted to state that Willie Monroe is a bigger draw than Erislandy Lara.
We saw what happened in the Brook fight.....
..... well, Lara > Brook, in EVERY department.
The guys who they have avoided all have the same similarities, mover/spoilers who are notoriously difficult to look good against, the slick Cuban southpaw would give Golovkin fits..... they do not want to risk looking bad, failing to put Lara away, or..... heaven forbid, the unthinkable.
They are making the exact same risk/reward decisions as every other fighter..... they are taking the fights they want, and passing on the rest, just like everybody else.
Luis DeCubas has said that they're happy at JMW for the time being and there would be lots of obstacles that could block the fight. He said that just a few months ago.Comment
