The writer says Ward "dominated Barrera" and won a "lopsided victory" over Brand. He could have written that instead of fighting a legitimate threat, Andre took on the inexperienced 34 yr old Cuban (only one 12 round fight on his record). As for Brand , that could read, Ward failed to stop the undersized 39 year old , whose record in the US was 1-1.
I'd like to know, was Andre's dad really a prison guard?

Ward is hated for the same reason that Martinez was hated.

The reason why Sergio Martinez was hated by a huge number of fans is..... because he publicly punked Manny Pacquiao while in pursuit of that fight, I remember it very clearly.

He punked Pacquiao the same way Ward punked Golovkin.

And it is largely the same fanbase.
