Joseph Parker's former manager Sir Bob Jones says calling the New Zealand boxer's upcoming heavyweight title fight a world championship bout is a joke. Parker's promoters Duco Events confirmed today Parker will fight American-Mexican Andy Ruiz for the WBO world heavyweight title at Vector Arena on December 10.

This is a joke fight, Parker was gaining respect in the UK, but he lost it by going ahead fighting this fat boy Ruiz, i saw one of his fights and would not pay to watch a fat slob, i swear i training harder than Ruiz

Not good but Wlad has held the title for years with hardly any risk fights so this is a norm really.

Why should AJ be fighting Molina when there's much better opponents out here....it's the sad state of affairs and we allow these promoters to get away with it so therefore good fights come along much less often but the pro mo's can line their pockets with low risk fights.

Bob Jones is an idiot.

His main pride in life these days is being a grumpy old man and tearing other people down... It's sad as Parker (and Barry and Duco) deserve far better.

They have collectively worked their backsides off to get Parker to this point. They are too gracious to react to this idiot.

I know because my Father and my Mothers Father won the same competition.
