What you are speculating is just that, speculation.
How can a madatory challenger request (or demand 40%) like your guessing team g-string did. Look how that played out for Danny Jacobs. If they can't work out a deal, it goes to purse bid. THEN conela gets 75% or whatever as per wbc rules. Its very hard for a challenger to call the shots, as they're normally just happy to be at the dance.

Of course purse bid rules would have benefitted K2. Jacobs is Alvarez nor is a Lineal and WBC strap in the mix. WBA regular strap is the same as the WBC strap and Lineal put together.

Dumb ****, thinner resume is verrrry debatable but what Canelo brought to the fight was financial clout. In short Canelo brought the Mexican PPV sales. Your man crush (g string) brings very little in that direction (97K). Again, 10 million dollars for a fighter with ZERO quality wins and damn little financial clout is one helluva offer.
